Welcome to Johannesburg!  You will be met by a company safarii representative, and assisted with your onward your onward flight to Hoedspruit (HDS)
(JNB/HDS flight excluded from quoted costs). Upon arrival in Hoedspruit, you will be met by a representative, who will transfer you to Thornybush Waterside Lodge.

 Welcome to the Timbavati Private Game Reserve…

The Timbavati Private Game Reserve is 53 000 hectares of private land, adjoining the Kruger National Park. Since 1962, the Timbavati Association has been dedicated to conservation and this “Big Five” reserve is now characterised by strong lion, leopard and cheetah populations, as well as large herds of buffalo, wild dog and elephant. Timbavati is the birth place of the famous white lions, only known to occur in the Timbavati region. In 2006 a resident pride gave birth to two white cubs for the first time in many years.

Thornybush Waterside Lodge... Adjacent to the Greater Kruger National Park, the lodges Main area is set on the banks of a tranquil Dam encompassed with breath-taking views of the African bushveld, Thornybush Waterside Lodge affords instant relaxation.

The lodge has been designed to blend into the natural habitat located along pathways surrounded by an abundance of trees and manicured gardens.

The size of the Lodge is ideal for special gatherings, affording privacy for individual couples, families looking to engage in bush activities with the lodges unique Children’s programme or smaller groups. The Lodge hosts a sixty seater conference centre overlooking the lake, making this the ideal location for strategic getaways.

Accommodation:

Public areas are set on the banks of a tranquil Dam encompassed with breath-taking views of the African bushveld, Thornybush Waterside Lodge affords instant relaxation.The lodges 20 comfortably appointed air-conditioned Thatched Suites blend into the natural habitat and are located along pathways surrounded by an abundance of trees and manicured gardens.

Accommodation caters for a maximum of 40 people collectively. Highly skilled rangers and trackers ensure Big 5 game viewing opportunities during dawn and dusk safaris, whilst bushwalks are for the more adventurous. Guests are invited to relax and take in the African surrounds after breakfast on the main deck area overlooking the dam, the swimming pool or alternatively retreat to the comfort of your suite.

Each Suite has an en-suite bathroom, indoor shower and patio. 2 Suites share an inter-leading door ideal for families travelling with children.

Activities / Wildlife:

Thornybush Waterside Lodge offers unique exclusive Safari experiences in both open Land Rovers, and on foot.

The private reserve is home to an abundance of species: 147 mammals including the "Big Five", 114 reptiles, 507 birds, 49 fish, 34 amphibians and 336 trees.

The reserve is predominantly open savannah and with a near perfect year round climate, it is the ideal African safari holiday destination.

Day 6

Private Transfer
Depart: Thornybush Waterside Lodge
Arrive: Hamiltons Camp Kruger Park

At a time to be advised you will be collected by a representative of the transfer company and you will do a road transfer to Hamiltons Camp in Kruger Park.

Welcome to Hamiltons Tented Camp!

Location:

Hamilton's Tented Camp is located within the Imbali concession area of the Kruger National Park. This private 10 000 hectare wilderness area is situated 35 km due South East of Orpen Gate in the central Kruger region. Bordering the Manyeleti and Sabi Sands to the West, the Talamati road makes up the Northern Boundary whilst the S36 gravel road is the eastern boundary.

Named after Colonel Stephenson Hamilton, who was instrumental in establishing the world famous Kruger National Park, Hamilton’s Tented Camp reflects a safari adventure of the early 1900’S, where grace and style were the epitome luxurious living. Following the fine tradition of luxury in true “out of Africa” style, the journey into a bygone era inspires one to experience safari. Hamilton's Tented Camp allows indulgence in pure luxury, combined with the sounds and smells of the African bush. Hamilton’s Tented Camp offers luxurious accommodation in Kruger Park where you will enjoy silver service dinners and savor gourmet cuisine.

Accommodation:

At Hamilton’s Tented Camp you will stay in 6 elegant tented suites which are comfortably furnished with king-sized canopy beds which are draped in mosquito nets.

The tents have full en-suite bathrooms equipped with deep slipper baths and an outdoor shower overlooking the seasonal river. The suites are air-conditioned and have a fan for warm summer days and nights.

Facilities:

The main lodge is home to an inviting lounge, scattered with early 1900’s objet d’art whilst the opulent dining area adds to the delight of this tranquil spot overlooking the river.

Dining at Hamilton’s Tented Camp is a truly memorable experience. Sit down to full service dinners and savor international style cuisine served with an African twist. Breakfast is usually a sumptuous spread served after the morning game drive, while lunch is often lighter with a cold buffet.

Your stay at Hamiltons tented Camp includes all meals, local brand drinks (soft drinks, water, beer, selected wines and spirits), two game activities daily and complimentary transfers from Skukuza and Hoedspruit airport with the Imbali transfer vehicle - subject to availability. (Can only do one drop off and pick up per day).

Day 11

Road Transfer
Depart: Hamiltons Camp
Arrive: Skukuza Airport

At a time to be advised you will be transferred to Skukuza Airport, to connect with your onward flight to Johannesburg, which arrives in time to connect with all international departure flights back to the USA.
